Giving Opportunities

Through their gifts, donors share in the pride of academic excellence and in the accomplishments of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and researchers. Gifts to the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry are tax-deductible and support a variety of programs.

Donations may be given in the form of cash, securities, real, or personal property. Gifts by credit card are welcomed.

Planned and differed gifts include bequests or life insurance policies. Specialists in creating a variety of charitable giving plans are available and will be happy to sit down and discuss the many attractive options available.

An engraved plaque displayed on a workstation will provide a lasting legacy.

Opportunities exist for perpetuating your name and/or the name (s) of others you wish to honor or memorialize through gift support. Naming gift options are available for gifts at a variety of gift levels, ranging from $1,800 to over $10 million.

A special Lifetime Donor Wall in the main lobby is being established that will honor those who have cumulatively contributed $100,000 or more.

Because annual support is crucial to maintaining the quality of our programs, the University of Toronto has established the President's Circle, a recognition organization honoring individuals who provide gifts of $1,000 or more in any fiscal year (May 1 through April 30). Members receive invitations to special activities and personal communications from the president's office throughout the year.

We encourage donors to discuss potential tax advantages and other aspects of charitable giving with their attorney, tax advisor, or financial consultant. However you choose to support the Faculty of Dentistry, you can be assured that your philanthropy will help to secure a bright future for our undergraduate and graduate students!
