Position Summary: |
Under the direction of the Janitorial Supervisor, the Janitor is responsible for assuring quality service to assigned building/s, maintaining college standards of cleanliness and undertaking their duties in a professional and courteous manner. |
Education: |
High School or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Experience: |
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the cleaning/janitorial/custodial field. Must have substantial work experience with the following equipment: floor polisher, vacuums (all types) carpet shampoo machines, carpet extractors and other related equipment. |
Skills: |
A satisfactory command of the English language is necessary in order to deal with staff, visitors, students, faculty and co-workers. Must be able to use all cleaning materials & equipment. |
Physical Demands: |
Physically capable of moving furniture and operating all cleaning equipment and material without restriction. |
Other: |
Basic schedule will be 3:00 pm to11:30 pm Monday to Friday, may vary occasionally, weekend work will be required as business dictates. |
