Position Summary: |
Under the direction of the Grounds senior staff, this position is responsible for assuring quality service to assigned outside areas and undertaking their duties in a professional and courteous manner. |
Education: |
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Experience: |
General labourer, previous grounds experience an asset. |
Skills: |
A satisfactory command of the English language is necessary in order to deal with staff, visitors, students, faculty and co-workers. Must be able to use basic grounds equipment, lawnmowers, and weed eaters, without restrictions. |
Physical Demands: |
Physically capable of heavy lifting, repetitive upper body motion, standing for long periods of time, working outdoors in a variety of weather, and operating grounds equipment without restriction. |
Other: |
Hours of work, usually Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. |
