Michael Bramah

With a B.A. granted in 1974 from the University of Toronto, Michael began working in the Ontario public library system the next year as a clerk. Enjoying the job so much, he decided to return to university and completed his M.L.I.S. at Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S. in 1987. He has held a number of professional positions since then: three years as the Adult Literacy librarian for the Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education and Job Training, seven years as cataloguing librarian at the Atlantic School of Theology library in Halifax, N.S., two years as Head of Technical Services at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Va., and from 2000 to the present as Head of Cataloguing here at the Kelly Library. While at AST he did further graduate work in theology. Michael is the subject co-specialist for collection development in the areas of Theology, Christianity and Culture, and Medieval Studies, and he is the interim subject specialist for French. He is active in the American Theological Library Association.
