Loretto College is a residence for women at St. Michael’s College within the University of Toronto, where students are invited to participate fully in a Christian and academic community. It is the goal of Loretto College to create a collegial and co-operative community, mindful of the multi-cultural and spiritual traditions of our students. Our aim is to promote the principles of understanding by fostering interactions that acknowledge individuals and groups, while supporting personal growth and the development of positive relationships with others.
Security for our 156 students is provided by around the clock security patrols and a porter, who is on duty 24 hours a day. A WalkSafer service provides added security for students coming home from night class.
Residents at Loretto College are able to use the St. Michael’s College facilities, such as student lounges, the John M. Kelly Library, St. Basil’s Church, the Writing Centre, Math Aid Labs, and programs and activities of the St. Michael’s Chaplaincy.

Leadership
Loretto College is administrated by the Dean, Angela Convertini. She provides support and guidance to the students at Loretto College. Each floor has Dons, whose job it is to promote the mandate and regulations of the College and help students with a variety of personal and academic needs. The Dons play a major leadership role at Loretto College.
Students are encouraged to assume leadership roles on the Loretto College House Council. The House Council is elected by the students and works on their behalf to make their residence experience rewarding. Throughout the year, the House Council organizes social activities and celebrations to foster a sense of community spirit among the residents.
Students in leadership positions at Loretto College assist the Dean in facilitating the building of a solid network and support system for the residents.
