Located in Brennan Hall (pictured left), the Canada Room Dining Hall first
opened in 1939. With its oak-paneled walls, original 19th Century artwork and
decorative crests, the Canada Room is truly the heart and soul of the SMC residence.
Our Food Service department is run by Sodexho Canada who provide a remarkable
array of nutritious entrées. The food is of high quality and features:
two meat and one vegetarian entree at both lunch and dinner; fresh breads, bagels,
muffins and croissants; daily soups; a sandwich bar; an ice cream/dessert bar;
and one of the largest fresh vegetable/salad bars on campus.
Halal food can also be requested from Food Service staff, and special meals are
