The structure of St. Michael’s Faculty of Theology parallels that of the TST, with Basic and Advanced Degree Divisions and Directors for each Division. The Director of Basic Degree Programs oversees the MDiv, MTS, MRE, MACL and various Diploma Programs. The Director of Advanced Degree Programs is responsible for the MA, ThM, ThD and PhD programs. The TST Doctor of Ministry Director is responsible for the DMin program. The Basic Degree and Advanced Degree Directors represent the Faculty on the respective councils of the TST.
The governing body within the Faculty is the Council of the Faculty of Theology, constituted by faculty members, elected students of the two program divisions and by other ex officio members. The Faculty Council is responsible to the University Senate and in certain matters to the Collegium, which serves as a Board of Governors. The Faculty operates within the terms of its federation with the Toronto School of Theology and in accordance with its own by-laws and regulations as contained in the Faculty of Theology Handbook.
